VITALI RUDNITSKI Girls Competitive Team Coach, Owner
Vitali was a member of the 1996 & 2000 Belarus Olympic Teams. He also represented Belarus at 4 World Championships. He has a Master’s Degree in Physical Education. Vitali was an Assistant Coach of the Belarus Junior National Team before coming to the U.S. He coaches our Boys teams. He is USAG safety certified.
ALEXANDER BELANOVSKI Boys Team Head Coach, Owner
Alexander was born in Minsk, Belarus. He was a member of the Belarus National Team from 1990-1998. Alexander participated in 2 World Championships 1994-1995. He graduated from the Academy of Physical Education and Sport of Belarus with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2012, Alexander won the Wisconsin Men’s Coach of the Year and the Men’s Artistic Junior Olympic Coach of the Year. He is USAG Safety Certified
ANDREI KAN Boys Team Assistant Head Coach, Owner
Andrei was a member of the Soviet Union National Team from 1990-1992. He was a member of the National Team of Belarus from 1992-1998. Andrei competed at 4 World Championships and the 1996 Olympic games. He coached Olympic Gymnasts Paul and Morgan Hamm from 1998-2003. He also coached National Team member Marvin Kimble. In 2013 he won Men’s Artistic Junior Olympic Coach of the Year.
PEGGY STERGIADES Tiny Tot Director
Peggy started working at Salto in 2008. She attended UW-Milwaukee, and has been working with children her whole life. In addition to teaching Tiny Tots classes, she is an instructor for the Salto Birthday parties, Salto Summer Camp and she works in the office. Peggy and her husband, Nick, have 3 boys of their own.
TRAVIS LAFERNIER Developmental Director
Travis has coached both boys and girls gymnastics for 6 years. He has coached with Salto for the last 2 years. Travis currently coaches girls developmental classes. His daughter is currently a level 9 gymnast at Salto. He is USAG Safety Certified.
Salto Coaches and Instructors
Amy Barwick — Amy grew up competing club gymnastics until she was a level 9. She decided to switch to high school gymnastics. She competed varsity for the Brookfield team for 4 years. After high school, she attended UW-Milwaukee and graduated with an education degree. She has been coaching for 8 years. She currently teaches 3rd grade at Mt. Lebanon Lutheran School. In addition to teaching and coaching gymnastics, she also works as a receptionist at 29ten Salon. She coaches our Xcel team. She is USAG safety certified.
Amy Droster — Amy graduated from Hope College with a B.A. in Physical Education and a minor in Dance. She has taught many years of gymnastics and child fitness. She has been with Salto since 1996. Amy coaches our Tiny Tot, Developmental classes, open gyms and is one of our birthday party instructors. She is USAG safety certified.
Angee Fisher — Angee is a firm believer in “bring-a-friend day”, since that was how she started gymnastics at the age of 8 and has been coaching gymnastics since she was 16 years old. She started college in Atlanta at Georgia Tech to pursue a computer science degree with a minor in Spanish and then transferred to UW-Milwaukee where she graduated with a degree in Business majoring in MIS. She coaches our Tiny Tot classes. She is USAG safety certified.
Jami Fixel — Jami started gymnastics at age 3 and did competitive gymnastics for many years before joining Mukwonago High School’s gymnastics team. She is attending Concordia University Wisconsin where she is pursuing a degree in Nursing. She coaches our Developmental girls gymnastics. She is also part of our office staff at Salto West. She is USAG Safety certified.
Juliet Holden — Julie is a graduate of UW-Milwaukee with a degree in Child Psychology. She was a former gymnast at Salto. Julie has been an instructor at Salto since 1995, and currently coaches the Mini-Tops and Girls teams 3 through 10. She is USAG Safety certified.
Anthony Ingrelli — Anthony competed in the Men’s JO program from 1998-2007. Anthony won several regional championships, finished off his junior career with a ring title in the Junior Olympics. He earned a scholarship to the University of Nebraska Lincoln. At UNL he continued to succeed in the sport, earning the NCAA freshman newcomer of the year award, as well as an All American title on rings. In addition to his athletic achievements, Anthony received an award for his above and beyond involvement in the UNL’s life skills outreach program. He has been coaching in the boys competitive program for 3 years under Andrei Kan and Alex Belanovski. He coaches our Cheer classes, both boys and girls Developmental classes and our Boys Team.
Hannah Jaskulski — Hannah has danced for 16 years and has also competed as a gymnast for 4 years. She has danced through various studios under many professionals dancers, until graduating out of her program at the highest level last year. She has been teaching everything from classical ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz and hip hop for the past 4+ years. She currently coaches in our Tiny Tot program.
Kristen Kremer — Kristen is a former elite gymnast, where she was a 5-time US Team member. She received a 4 year scholarship to the University of Florida-Gainesville where she earned a B.S. in Exercise & Sport Science with specialization in Sports Management. She was the first and only Gator gymnast to score a perfect 10 on the beam in school history. Her daughter is on our Team 4/5 and Tops Team. She has been coaching for 14 years. She is our Girls Optional Coach, Levels 7-10. She is USAG Safety certified.
Madeline Langenstroer — Madelline started gymnastics when she was 2 years and is still currently in our competitive program as a Level 9/10 gymnast. She is a senior and an Honors Student at Kettle Moraine High School. She coaches girls developmental classes and does field trips. She is USAG safety certified.
Liz Loomis — Liz graduated with a BS in Life Science from Penn State in 2006, where she competed for 4 years on the Penn State Figure skating team. She has 12 years of dance training in ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary and 8 years of teaching experience in dance school in NY and PA. She has also coached competitive figure skating for 8 years, and worked extensively with skaters in the dance studio to help improve their performance. She is our team dance instructor at Salto West.
Sandy Maher — Sandy is a graduate from UW-Milwaukee with a degree in economics. She was a former High School gymnast. In addition to teaching tiny tot classes, she is an instructor for the home school program, birthday parties, summer camp, field trips and works in both offices.
Emily Melcarek — Emily was a former Salto gymnast for 10 years. She started taking classes at the age of 1 and continued into the team program. She was a Varsity gymnast at Mukwonago High School for 4 years. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in August of 2006, with a Bachelors degree in Recreation Management and a minor in Spanish. In June of 2013, she received her post-baccalaureate teaching certification in education grades 1-8. She is a Primary School Teacher at Ideal Charter School, grades K4 thru 2nd grade. She currently coaches Teams 3 through 8. She is USAG Safety certified.
Cathy Mierow — Cathy is a graduate of UW-Whitewater. She started working at Salto 6 years ago. Her three children (Cara, Mike & Kate) have all been gymnasts at Salto. Her youngest daughter, Kate, competed for Salto through JO Level 10, and is now a gymnast for UW-Whitewater. Cathy teaches primarily Tiny Tots at our Brookfield location. She is USAG Safety certified.
Nikki Pawlak — She started gymnastics at the age of 4 and spent the majority of her competition years at Salto. After spending 11 years as a gymnast, she continued at Salto in the cheer/tumbling classes and joined her high school cheerleading team, where she was a member of the Varsity squad for 3 years. She currently is the head coach of our Xcel team at the Brookfield facility. She is USAG safety certified, and is a Certified Athletic Trainer.
Robin Schlee — Robin is a former Salto gymnast who went on to coach through high school and college. She graduated with a degree in Exercise Science, a minor in Recreation and obtained multiple fitness and wellness certifications. She worked in the corporate health and wellness field for 15 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom to her 3 young daughters. Her daughters attend Salto. Her oldest is competing on Team 3/4. She teaches Tiny Tots at our Brookfield facility.
Christine Sobczyk — Christine was a former M&M gymnast for 10 years. She was a varsity gymnast at Mukwonago High School. She was a collegiate gymnast for UW-Stout & Whitewater. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2010 with a dual bachelor’s degree in secondary education and a triple licensure in History, Geography and Broadfield Social Studies. She coaches the Mukwonago recreational gymnastics and their high school team. She currently coaches the High School gymnastics classes.
Brittany Solberg — Brittany was a former Level 10 Salto gymnast and graduated in 2007. She currently coaches our Pre Team through Team 10 and our TOPS and Sr. Tops programs. She is also one of our Home School coaches. She is USAG safety certified.
Kirsten Thiemke — Kirsten started gymnastics at age 4 and began competitive gymnastics at age 7. She continued competing for 11 years, before retiring as a Level 9 gymnast, taking up competitive cheerleading. She graduated in 2010 and is currently attending UW-Milwaukee. She is USAG Safety certified.
Samantha Thorn — Samantha competed as a JO and Xcel team gymnast for over 6 years until graduating and attending UW-Superior for a degree in Health and Wellness Management. She has coached at a variety of developmental and team levels for almost 10 years. Currently she coaches in our Developmental, Cheer and Tiny Tot programs, as well as coaching on the Xcel team. She is USAG safety certified.
Sam Weber — Sam has been at Salto for many years. She started off in our developmental program when she was 5 yeas old. At age 11, she joined our Xcel team and is currently still on the Xcel team. Sam coaches girls developmental classes at the Brookfield location and also works in the Brookfield office.
Cristi Wojtecki — Cristi is a 2008 graduate of Oklahoma State University, with a degree in Marketing. She is married and a mother of 2 children. She’s a proud Okie and loves her home state, but loves living in Wisconsin as well. She loves the sport of gymnastics and competed down in Oklahoma for 13 years. She started coaching while in college. She coaches our girls developmental classes at Salto West and is also our assistant Preteam and Team 1 coach. She is USAG safety certified.
Shari Wright — Shari is our girls team coach for PreTeam, Team 1 & 2 at our Brookfield location. She came to Salto 6 years ago from Colorado and has been coaching girl’s gymnastics for 10 years. Shari has an extensive background working with youth sports including teaching swimming for 25 yrs. and working with YMCA camp programs. Shari graduated from the University of Minnesota in Economics and worked in Information Technology for the State of Minnesota. She is USAG Safety certified.
